Gregory Alan Isakov Portland Concert reviews
Great concert and inspiration
The Earth Wind and Fire and Gregory Alan Isakov concert was well worth the wait! It harkens back to what Woodstock could have been like in the open-air pavilion of Jiffy Lube Live. People were standing up dancing to the music. Earth Wind and Fire started the show, with their lead singer still fabulous and hitting and holding all the high notes. They have 3 remaining original band members. The great Carlos Santana then took the stage. What can you say about this guitar genius? He is still fabulous! He performed all his great hits along with some music I'd not heard before. A set that paid tribute to George Harrison and Jimmy Hendrix was a particular favorite of mine. I especially loved the drum solos by his wife, Cynthia (encourage your young daughters who want to take up an instrument to listen to her drum - what an inspiration!). Unexpectedly, there was a sermon in the middle of the concert, delivering an inspiring message to let your love shine a light through you. He included "Wade on the Water" within another piece. Love and peace, brothers and sisters! I would definitely go see him again.
